About Bespoke
Our bespoke orders are made by our own craftsmen throughout the entire process, from pattern making to cutting, sewing, and finishing.
The paper pattern is not a "adjustment" using a block pattern (previous type) that is often seen in pattern orders, etc., but a "prototype" just for the customer,
which takes movement into consideration based on the body shape and desired design. This is a method of building from the main line.
By doing so, we are able to achieve the optimal balance and compromise for various body shapes,
and create truly bespoke shirts that are unique to each customer.
In addition, all fabrics are washed through water before being cut, and by rectifying the fabric before cutting,
we minimize shrinkage and distortion after the fabric is finished
Each piece is sewn in the round by one craftsman, and the seam allowances are carefully laid down one by one by hand, and after any curls are removed, they are pressed down using a sewing machine.
This eliminates puckering as much as possible without pressing the seam allowance, resulting in a clean shirt that won't twist after washing.
In addition, the collar and cuffs are attached and folded down using a method that requires 1 to 2 more steps than standard methods, such as ground stitching, then turning and folding the fabric down, which maintains strength and beauty.
